The pieces are starting to fall into place with the autumn exhibition. For a while there it looked like it would be all over the place as usual(especially since there will be some non-paintings) but now I'm sure it will be highly conceptual after all, which is how I think these things should be (at least when you get to plan it more carefully). Like a music album with a start, middle and end with connections all over the place yet without any part being that much like the others.. should end up being a nice visual little journey.

Been thinking lately, and I'm sort of going back to last fall because I was onto something there! Currently doing some preparatory work for the coming exhibition, and some of the ideas I've got for it are really shaping up to be the logical continuation of that. I should stop getting sidetracked like this..

Uploaded some shots under "Tributes" from some recent snow sculpting, 3 days of it, and I'm beat. A lot of fun though, joking around while chipping away.

Been putting together new ideas lately. Venturing into some new territory in the coming months with one painting inspired by film noir and one by retro-futuristic concepts. Now to just finish what was started way back in May..

Finally working on a Seinfeld painting! The four of them, Newman and the frogger arcade machine in the coffeeshop. My own composition as I didn't want to just copy a scene.

New section added, "Comics". Certain comics were part of why I wanted to draw as a youngster and now, with all these paintings, I realize they make perfect groundwork for a somewhat serious comic (or graphic stories then). Each one will be based on a few paintings. Still plenty of technical details to decide on, but the long-term goal would be to have enough for some kind of book to release. Should be a nice side project.
